HB 1366 was NOT brought to the floor for a vote by the 5 pm deadline and so had died in committee! Praise the Lord for His wonderful victory and thank Him for all those who were obedient to His call in opposing this vicious legislation

HB 1366 is scheduled to be voted on by the House of Representatives Monday, March 7. We need as many as possible to attend this House Floor debate. Gather in the fourth floor House Gallery

All bills must be introduced on the House Floor no later than 5pm. Therefore, the bill could come up for debate anytime between 10am and 5pm.

Telephone Number Mix-up...We are Still Here!!

Just wanting to pass on that the Embracing Life office is Open as usual. There was a mix up with Frontier (the former phone company) and Comcast the new phone company.
The telephone was shut off at Frontier 1 week earlier than they were contracted - It took a few hours and a really great conversation with a gentleman at Comcast about the weather in Denver and his upcoming trip to California to visit his sister. :-)

The office has been keeping busy. We have a few needs at the moment; childrens' clothing in sizes 2T to 5T in both boys and girls, disposable diapers in sizes 3 to 5. Any donations in these areas would be terrific!

I have had the privilege of praying with mothers soon to give birth and it has been such a blessing for both me and the mothers!

Embracing Life put on a Benefit Concert at God Rock Cafe' October 16th. This is a picture of Tony Easterly who was absolutely fantastic! Check back as we are working on a new project and it promises to be bigger than ever and really exciting!

2010 Banquet a Success!!!

We had a great time on Friday the 5th !

Our speakers were absolutely fabulous!!!!! Carrie Abbott and Vicki Carver had us riveted to our chairs.

The Dessert Auction was A LOT of fun. There was some mighty competition over the chocolate cheese cake...it was the first to go! There were many, many wonderful desserts to choose from - red velvet cake, costco chocolate All-American cake, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, chocolate cream pie, key lime pie, and the list goes on. There were over 20 desserts to choose from!

The waitstaff was Amazing! The food was really good, the video presentations with current statistics was eye opening for many in attendance, the company was fun and the evening was all focused on continuing our mission to partner together to make a difference in "Life" in the Marysville Community and surrounding areas.

Our office is still here and hopping with those needing assistance! If you have any "gently" used clothing, please consider donating it. There are those in the area that could really use your "handmedowns." And since we are a 501(c)3 you can ask for a receipt and use your donations on your taxes (of course talk to your tax specialist). Also, we are in desperate need of diapers, sizes 1 to 6, baby wipes and lotions, bathwash...all the baby goodies.

Hi All, We had our annual fund raiser last
night. There was a fun time had by all from what we heard. The food was fantastic (and made by Manna Catering). Lynn Dalkey decorated the place beautifully and Keith Ferrin from www.thatyoumayknow.com brought a great message. He really challenged us by his presentation of the book of Philippians challenging us with Prayer, Participation, and Partnership. We all need to keep Embracing Life in prayer. We need participation by those who pray, volunteer and help us in an way. We need partnership by those who believe in what we do.

We have Prayer Partners for Embracing Life coming up March 14th, at 6:30 p.m. at Eastgate Chapel in Marysville across the street from our office. We look forward to filling that church with prayer partners.

Last night we were asked to post our upcoming Car Show flyer on the web. There was quite a bit of interest in our show. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask.

Embracing Life is in the final stages of putting together our 3rd Annual fund raiser that will be held at Marysville First Assembly of God at 4705 Grove Street in Marysville on Friday February 20th, 2009. We look forward to a great evening of fun. Keith Ferrin will bless us as our speaker for the evening. Summer Jubilee August 10th 2008

Embracing Life had a table at Summer Jubilee in Marysville. There were about 10,000 people at Asbery Field so we got to interact with alot of people. The baby models were
held and loved by many. We met alot of very nice people and handed out many brochures. Overall the day was a great success.

We are having a work party at the office!

This coming Friday August 15th a group of
people from a mentoring group at Boeing
are coming out to do a community project.
We plan to paint one of the offices, build
some shelving, and do a little bit of
gardening. We will post some pictures
when it is done so come back and take a look.
